Michael Duane Johnson

Michael Duane Johnson was born to Vyrl and Barbara Johnson on September 17, 1959 and passed through the gates of heaven on October 28, 2021 after a long battle with his health.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Ross. He also leaves behind four sisters, Tammy, Kathy, Cecilia, and Nicole. Along with three brothers LeRoy, Matthew, and John Paul. He was preceded in death by his brother Luke.

Michael spent most of his life in Alaska after moving here in 1968 with his family. He graduated from Palmer High School class of 1977. He loved car racing, playing Santa for little ones, and worked hard the rest of his life completing his journey with Greg Bell at the Valley Saw Mill.

His heart was filled with love for his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his laughter and acceptance.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022 in the form of an outdoor potlatch.
