Michael Dwayne Tuel

Big Lake resident Michael Dwayne Tuel, 58, died Oct. 21, 2012, at Providence Hospital.

Michael was born Dec. 3, 1953 in Portland, Ore. Michael moved to Big Lake in 1955. He worked at American Tire Warehouse.

“Mike Tuel was a man’s man,” his family wrote. “He was strong and worked his whole life to provide for his family. He was stern with a commanding presence, and if he had a weakness, he never showed it. He was good-natured and always made you feel comfortable and welcome.”

He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn. They had been together for 38 years. He also leaves his sons, Charles and Dylan; daughter-in-law Michele; and grandchildren, Caitlin, Fallon and Lincoln.

“His sons saw their father as someone who always did the right thing and never stopped trying. Mike was loved by his family and friends,” his family wrote. “He had an honest heart and a pure soul. He was truly a great man who can never be replaced. He was one of a kind and our love for him will forever be in our hearts.”

Arrangements are with Janssen’s Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
