On the night of September 11, 2021, Michael J. Easley of Wasilla, AK, died at the age of 74.

The son of Jack & Harriet Easley, Mike was born in 1947 in Robinson, IL. He moved to Alaska in 1961 and graduated from East High school in 1965. A Vietnam veteran, he served in the navy for four years and then spent his career at Municipal Light and Power until his retirement in 1997. He married Cheryl in December, 1970 and together they raised three children Kevin, Dan, and Tabatha in Anchorage.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He hunted all across the state for 60 years. He loved to boat in Prince William Sound when he wasn’t out flying. On long winter days, he liked to watch the History channel, old Westerns and the stock market. A dedicated family man, he was happy to share his love of Alaska’s Great Outdoors with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by wife Cher; three children, Kevin, Dan, and Tabatha; four siblings, Candi, Scott, Jacquie and Steve; as well as his seven grandchildren, Kammin, Jake, Brennan, Avery, Tyler, Kaylie and Kyle.
