Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Michael Joshua Gonzalez-Flecha, 24, died June 8, 2012, in Anchorage.
He was born June 7, 1988, in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Agustin Gonzalez and Rosa Flecha-Casillas.
A celebration of life service in honor of Michael is at 3 p.m., June 22 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S. Check St., Wasilla.
Michael worked at the Moose’s Tooth in Anchorage as a line cook and always brought a smile to everyone he met while working there.
“Michael was taken from us too soon and that life has thrown so many obstacles his way but he never managed to forget to be a son, brother, uncle and friend. Rest your soul it was a pleasure to see you as a boy grow into a man that everyone could be proud of,” his family said.
Surviving are his parents, Augustin Gonzalez-Collazo of Alaska and Rosa Flecha-Casillas of Wisconsin; step-mother, Angela Ramirez of Alaska; brothers, Luis Gonzales-Vasquez and Joseph Gonzalez-Vasquez of Ohio, and Angel Gonzalez-Flecha of California; sisters, Nisha Gonzalez-Flecha and Trisha Gonzalez-Flecha of Wisconsin; brother and sisters, Austine Gonzalez-Allen of Alaska, Cynthia and Tiffany Gonzalez-Allen of Alaska; grandmothers, Milagios Collazo-Reyes and Selicita Casillas-Reyes of Puerto Rico; niece and nephews, Dayzialis Gonzalez-Valaquez of Wisconsin, Aiden Gonzalez-Williams of California, and Quinten Gonzalez-Montenez and Christian Gonzalez-Montenez, both of Alaska.
The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to the Michael J. Gonzalez Memorial Fund C/O Matanuska Valley Credit Union Account No. 139513.
Arrangements entrusted to Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory Wasilla.
