Michael Lewis Lombard, born on March 23, 1985, at 10:01 a.m. in Redding, CA, passed away on November 14, 2024. He was the cherished sixth child of Tony and Carol Lombard of Cottonwood, CA.
Michael attended West Valley High School, Shasta College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University before enlisting in the US Air Force. His distinguished military career included roles as a Tactical Air Control Party specialist and a Joint Terminal Air Controller. He bravely served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), earning the title of jumpmaster and completing over 75 HALO jumps.
Beyond his military achievements, Michael was a devoted father, husband, and son. He was deeply respected by his fellow veterans and family, who stood by him throughout his illness and eventual passing.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Carol; his beloved wife, Hannah; his three daughters, Alana, Lillian, and Betty; his son, Blake; and his siblings, Robert, John, Paul, Lisa, and Mitchell. His legacy of courage, dedication, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
