The fish in Alaska began to swim more peacefully on May 10, 2014, when their mighty nemesis Michael George (Mike) Pazaruski left us to fish the beautiful waters of Heaven’s lakes and streams.
Mike was born in Palmer Nov. 21, 1953, to Jim and Gerry Pazaruski. He was the oldest and only boy out of five children.
A lifelong Valley resident who’s time away was spent to further his education by receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Oregon State University, Eugene, Oregon.
He was a familiar face at one of the local grocery stores in Palmer where he worked for many years.
Mike was a fun and loving individual who was almost always planning his next playful prank. His mischievous personality will be missed by those who knew him best. Mike had a deep appreciation for family and friends and although his health slowed him down as time went by, he always had time to share with them. And there were always times at his kitchen table, where you could find Mike and his closest of friends, laughing and joking as they rolled the dice.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, James Paul (Jim) Pazaruski and Garnetta Mae (Gerry) Pazaruski; and sister, Julianna (Pazaruski) Coppock.
Survivors are his sisters, Jana Jones, Jamie Pazaruski, Jody Remele; and many nieces, nephews and a great nephew, niece and Best Buds.
