Michael T. Daugherty died Nov. 30, 2013, unexpectedly at his home in Homosassa, Fla.
This should have been written long ago, but seeing it in writing means having to accept the reality of the situation. Michael lived for nearly 30 years in Alaska. He touched many lives and had some wonderful friends there. As co-founder of the Alaska Bicycle Center, Mike enjoyed his customers so very much.
Married to Jennifer for 22 years, they explored and enjoyed most of the state. By plane, boat or river raft, they had many adventures. They fished every lake, river and bay they could get to.
Thanks to you all for the friendship and memories we shared. Please always remember his warm smile and unique sense of humor. He will be missed, but live on in our hearts.
Mike’s ashes will be shared with his fishing buddies, who will bring him to the Copper River one last time.
