Michael Wayne Prince, 73, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at home on Sept. 12, 2023.
Michael was born to Snell (Bud) and Mary Prince on August 28, 1950 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida but lived most of his life in Alaska. He served in the Army as a helicopter aircraft mechanic and worked in the Prudhoe Bay oil field as a Welder, Forman, and Supervisor for the rest of his career. He loved golf, grilling for family and friends, and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Rebecca (Padilla) Prince; daughters Haley (Louis) Young, and Leah (Chad) Jones of Palmer, Alaska; sons Steven (Melina) Ehrhart, Tom (Allison) Polowy, Joe (Jenn) Polowy, and Chris (Tia) Redmon; siblings Phil (Susan) Prince, Denise (Dave) McLaughlin, Nancy (Dave) Hill, Vonnie (Kevin) Sweeney, and Kathy Prince; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Snell (Bud) and Mary Prince and sister Julie Prince.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
