Micheal Kenneth Benedict (Coach) from Wasilla, AK. passed away December 31st, 2024, at his home at the age of 65. Mike was born July 13,1959 in Springfield, MN. to Kenneth and Esther (Henning) Benedict. Mike attended school at Lamberton Public School graduating in 1977. Mike worked in construction his working years. He loved to teach and mentor others who wanted to learn the trade. This is how his nickname "Coach" came about. From Lamberton he moved to Colorado and later in 1990 his love of fishing and hunting brought him to Alaska.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Esther Benedict; brother, Thomas Benedict, sister, Janice Voge and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Left to cherish his memories includes his sister, Judy (Gary) Johnson; brother, Leon (Jan) Benedict; brother, Mark (Jan) Benedict; sister, Kay (Darvin) Voge; brother, Jon Benedict; brother, Jeff Benedict, many nieces and nephews and many good friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 2nd from 2-4 p.m. at the Mugshot in Wasilla.
