Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Mildred Josephine “Josie” Teubner, 54, died July 20, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Wasilla.
A celebration of life is at 5 p.m., July 29, at Palmer Golf Course.
Josie was born June 17, 1958, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., to Lee and Marie Unruh. She became an Alaska resident in August 1990. Josie worked at Mat-Su Dental Lab and enjoyed golf, softball, bowling and volleyball.
Her family wrote, “She was a beautiful person inside and out; a loving wife, mother and best friend. Life will be a sad place without her in it. She was so caring and loved her family more than anything. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and were the topic of most conversations made with her.”
Surviving are her mother, Marie Unruh of Colorado; brothers, Gary, Don, Bill, Vernon, George and Kevin Unruh of Colorado; sisters, Harriet Warrington and Loretta (Rose) Benge of Colorado; husband, John L. Teubner of Alaska; sons, Seth Bellamy of Idaho, and Jonah and Isaac Bellamy of Alaska; grandchildren, Marlee Fuger, Jasmine Bellamy, Seth Bellamy and Jeran Bellamy of Idaho.
Preceding her in death was her father, Lee Unruh; and brother, Glen Unruh.
Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
