MSCVB board elections Nov. 8

Four positions on the 10-person Mat-Su Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors are up for election this fall, with eight qualified candidates seeking three-year terms.

Mat-Su CVB members vote for board position each October, with the new board seated at the organization’s annual meeting Nov. 8 at Evangelo’s.

This year, two incumbents are seeking to retain their seats on the board, Mark Austin of the Palmer Musk Ox Farm and Cheryl Metiva of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. Other candidates seeking terms on the board include Kelly Larson of the Alaska State Fair; Thomas McAleer of Alaska Denali Travel; Terri Reynolds-Rogers of the Alaskans for Palmer Hayflats; Debbie Rinckey of Market Wise; Zack Steer of Sheep Mountain Lodge; and Travis Taylor of Premier Alaska Tours.

Once seated, the new board of directors will elect its officers on Nov. 8.
