Nancy was born on 3/31/1937 to Edward and Edna (Eastland) Sliney, Jr. in Lynn, Massachusetts. She came to Alaska in 1972. She was married to Norman Brown on March 31, 1982. She was retired from the MatSu school district. She loved to garden, collect interesting rocks, and travel.
She is survived by her husband Norman Brown and her sons Stephen (Sheilene) Ham, Thomas (Toni) Mckinnon, and Eric Donovan-Brown; her daughters Anne (David) Thompsen, Sarah (Bruce) Eastwood, Dorothy (Raymond) Torres, and Julie Ham; her step-sons Kevin Brown, Randy Brown, George Donovan, Jr. and Mark Donovan; her sisters Patty (Dave) Gallant, Kathleen Armeen; her brother Michael (Susan) Sliney; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Edward Sliney III, sister Laura Perri, brother-in-laws Gary Armeen and Robert Brown, daughter Michele’ Ham, grandsons Anthony Torres, Thor Torres, granddaughter Mary Theresa Dundas, great-grandsons Duane Dundas, JR. and Brandon Ham.
She was buried at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery in Palmer, Alaska, where she will forever have a few of the flowers, trees and mountains that she loved so much.
