Nancy Mae Cunningham (Anderson), 84, passed away at Mat-Su Regional Hospital on July 25, 2017.She was born August 30, 1932, to Wilber and Marie (Mankin) Anderson in Erie, Pennsylvania.
She leaves behind the love of her life, spouse Walter (Doc) Cunningham. She also leaves behind sisters; Sandy Wilmot (Charlie), Kay Quarderer (John), Kris (Scott) Bradley, Children: Mark (Darcy) Cunningham, David (Becca) Cunningham, Patrick (Fran) Cunningham, Mary Cunningham (John Dotten). Along with multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and the many friends and family they created during their long and loving life together, who are too numerous to mention.
She was smart, witty, an avid gardener, an adventurous cook, a loving wife and mother, and a fearless explorer who always searched for knowledge and truth. Whoever visited the family home was always welcomed with a warm cup of tea, a tasty plate of food, and interesting conversation. Her smile was contagious, her heart warm and full of love for life and those around her. She kept her family together through her honest and loving approach to life. We who knew her and were touched by her will forever feel her loss.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Luisa Allen and the Golden Agers staff who provided tender loving care for Nancy in her final years.
