Neil Scott Wagner, 68, of Chugiak, Alaska, died April 13, 2021.

Neil was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, on January 15, 1953, the son of Ralph and Dorothy Wagner. After graduating from South Park High School, he attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he enlisted in the U.S Air Force and served honorably at Randolph AFB in Texas, and Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage. He remained in Alaska where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. In later years, his love of cars and driving led him to work as a taxi driver, limousine chauffeur, and driver for the MASCOT van.

He raised his two sons, Eric and Nathan, in Eagle River and enjoyed playing an active role in helping to raise his beloved granddaughter, Alexis.

Neil is survived by his mother, Dorothy Wagner; his sons, Eric Penetac and Nathan Wagner; his granddaughter, Alexis Penetac; his sister Eileen Schuster and her husband Bob; his sister Janet Boshears and husband Roger; and his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father, the Reverend Ralph F. Wagner; his brother, Philip Wagner; and his companion, Bernadette Penetac.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on May 8, 2021, in the Witzleben Chapel of the Legacy Funeral Home at 1707 Bragaw St, Anchorage. Father Jim Brisson will officiate.
