Nicholas ”Nic” Dale James Johnson
Of Wasilla, Alaska passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Just one day after his 45th birthday.
Nic was born May 10, 1974 to James Oswald Johnson and Evelyn Elaine Conley Johnson. Nic’s early childhood was spent in Battle Creek, MI. Where he loved spending time with his sister, brother, cousins, and neighborhood friends riding bikes and playing on the “dirt hill” in the field by the house. His family relocated to Wasilla, AK in August 1982. Nic continued school at Iditarod Elementary then on to Wasilla Junior High and Wasilla High School. Nic followed in his father’s footsteps working in construction most of his adult life. Nic was a sensitive, caring, loving son and brother. He enjoyed cooking, playing with the many dogs he had throughout his life, and spending time with family and friends. Nic will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, James Johnson, maternal grandparents, James and Frances Conley, paternal grandparents, George and Mildred Johnson, cousin Scott Wilson, aunts Ruth Ann Conley Wilson Choffin, Mavis LaRoque, uncles Dale Walters, Earline Bennes, uncles and aunts William and Ila Johnson, George and Carol Johnson.
Nic is survived by his mother Evelyn Conley of Frisco, TX, sister Victoria Kathleen Johnson Barnes (Ray) of Frisco, TX, his brother Anthony James Johnson, of Plano, TX, aunt, Sue Conley, of Plano, TX, cousin Mathew Wilson Metzger of Battle Creek, MI, nieces and nephew Abigail, Allison and Adam Barnes of Frisco, TX, cousins Larry, Karen, Lance and Leif Walters of Wasilla, AK, aunt Lois Walters of Wasilla, AK, best friend/love, Tonda Lundin, of Wasilla, AK, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins on the Johnson and Conley sides of the family.
In keeping with his long held wishes Nic was cremated. His ashes will be spread at his favorite places in Michigan and Alaska.
