Nicole Noel Ver Kuilen

April 1st, 1975 – March 31st, 2024

Palmer, Alaska —Nicole Noel Ver Kuilen passed unexpectedly on March 31st in Palmer, Alaska. She was 48 years old.

Born Nicole Noel Nelson to her loving parents Jim and Judy Nelson, Nicole Ver Kuilen was a vibrant and intoxicating soul. Her love of laughter and her infectious smile were known to light up a room.

Nikki was a fervent lover of nature and the outdoors! Whether it be swimming, biking, surfing, skating, backpacking, fishing, or skiing, she was a gifted athlete from birth!

Nikki met her beloved husband Adam in Whitefish, Montana, and received her teaching degree in Special Education at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. After moving to Alaska, she found her career as the Adaptive PE Teacher for the Mat-Su School District.

She is survived by her two dear daughters, Ella and April, and her husband Adam, as well as her mother, Judy Nelson; father, Jim Nelson; her three siblings - Sherrie Sears, Greg Sears, and Angela Clark; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
