Norma Stith
On December 4th, 2021, Norma Stith received her wings so she could walk with Angels. She was 86 years old.
Norma was born July 6th, 1935, in Seattle, Washington to Herbert and Margaret Howson. It’s there she met and married James Stith and had 4 children she adored. She moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1968 with her family and lived in Anchorage and Palmer for the rest of her life. She loved Alaska in so many ways, the mountains, the adventures, and most of all the colors of the seasons.
Her greatest passion was her grandkids, she loved every single one of the as much as anyone can and would always light up when they came through the door, you could just feel the love. Her other passion was volunteering whenever she could. She would call bingo, help with ceramics, but cookies and cards were her favorites. She received volunteer of the year for the Anchorage Senior Center and was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady”.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa and her husband David; sons, Rusty and his wife Debbie and Tommy and his wife Janet. 10 Grandchildren and a whole lot of great grandkids. She is preceded by her husband Jim and oldest son Jim Jr.
