Longtime Valley resident, Oliver Enyart, 74, passed away at home on June 12, 2017 in Wasilla, Alaska.
Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, June 18, 2017 with family and friends.
Oliver was born on May 13, 1943 Wheeler, Oregon. In 1961 to 1965 he served our country in the United State Air Force. May of 1983 Oliver moved to Alaska, where he started THE RESTORE STORE (Antique Furniture Restoration Business). He closed shop in 2014. Oliver enjoyed fishing, camping, playing the banjo & bluegrass music. As a former Oregonian he also enjoyed having a chain saw in his hands and used it a great deal in clearing and building our home.
Oliver was known as Jim to family and friends. Oliver was a good son, father, and a wonderful Husband. He could make or fix anything made of wood. He was a fantastic craftsman. He was ever a Teddy Bear! He was always ready with a smile, and had a fantastic wit. He had a gentle and kind soul. His sense of humor was beyond.
Oliver is survived by wife Maxine Enyart of Wasilla, AK; son Mark Enyart of Perris, CA; daughters Susan Enyart of Eugene, OR, Lisa Stevens of Selah, WA; step children David Beam of Wasilla, AK, Annette Gall of Chugiak, AK, Karen Smith of Eagle River, AK, and Kim Sorenson of Eugene, OR.
He was preceded in death by parents Gilbert & Bea Enyart; grandparents Frank & Susie Enyart.
Arrangement was under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
