A much-loved husband, father, son, and brother, Patrick Thomas Dafoe, 28, of Wasilla went to be with The Lord on Dec. 22, 2014.
Patrick was born July 17, 1986, to Aaron and Marilyn Dafoe in the state of Alaska, and resided in Wasilla with his wife and four children. As a boy he was a very loving and generous child that continued to be throughout his life as a man. He met the love of his life, La Donna Dafoe, Sept. 19, their love flourished immediately, and led to their wedding on May 2, 2010. Patrick worked for CH2MHill for his adult life as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic. Patrick loved to work on four-wheelers, snowmachines, anything that had a motor, this was relevant with his job, as well as, what he would spend his free time on. Patrick loved more than anything to be outside, whether it would be fishing, hunting, or taking the family out for a ride on his wheeler, he felt most at peace in the great outdoors of Alaska. Patrick received The Lord in 2011 and spent his time with The Lord outside in God’s creation, he would often say that he “could see God’s Glory in His creation of the wilderness”. His favorite season to be outside was the fall, since the fall colors were all of his favorites combined in one season. Patrick was a lover of country music, his favorite being Alan Jackson, he enjoyed taking long drives to site see and clear his head. Patrick was a giving man who would give the shirt off his back if somebody was in need. Often times his wife would want to help others, no matter the amount of money they had-Patrick would always make sure the opportunity for them to give would be met, even if he had to sell their personal items. Patrick loved being with his children, wrestling, playing outside, taking them sledding, anything that included their presence, he loved being a dad more than anything. Patrick’s favorite song was Simple Man by Lynard Skynyrd, he felt this song described him to a tee. Patrick was survived by his wife, La Donna Dafoe of Wasilla; his four children, Deaven, Taytumn, Kalven and Edelle; Parents Aaron and Marilyn Dafoe of Wasilla; grandparents, Fred and Linda Graham of Houston; grandpa, Harry Dafoe of Nenana; sister, Erika Banzhaf and her husband, Clinton Banzhaf; uncle, and aunt Troy and Maureen Graham of Houston, their son, Shawn Graham; uncle, Chad Graham of Wasilla; and too many family, friends, and co-workers to list.
