Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Paula Maria Lichtenberger Tucker, 78, died June 2 at her Wasilla home, from complications of cancer.
A private family memorial gathering will be held at the family home.
Paula was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Meitington, Germany. She completed eight years of education in Germany. She came to Alaska in May of 1964 and had lived in Anchorage and Wasilla. She was employed at the Chef’s Inn in Anchorage from 1966 until her retirement in 1990. Her hobbies and special interests were gardening and pets.
Survivors are her husband, Bob of Wasilla; sister, Ida Ryfkogel of Reno, Nevada; brother, Hermann Lichtenberger of Germany; nephews, Harold, Robert and Dieter Lichtenberger of Germany, and Chuck and Cris Joseph of Kansas; and a niece, Corena Joseph of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helga Lichtenberger Joseph.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Wasilla.
