Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Perry L. Greenwood, 57, a former Wasilla resident, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, in East Wenatchee, Washington.
He was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, to Donald L. Greenwood and Janet D. (Shaw) Greenwood. He grew up in Mosinee, Wisconsin, and moved to Alaska in 1982. He moved to Wenatchee, Washington, in 2013. He worked on the North Slope for 32 years, most currently as a Well Integrity Supervisor for AES-ASCR in Kuparuk, Alaska.
He married Lisa Barnes in 1985. Together they had two daughters, and later divorced in 2008. He married Kimme (Putman) Hawkins in 2009.
Perry was an avid Packers fan and outdoorsman. He loved fishing and camping, especially on the Little Su River and in Homer. He especially enjoyed bringing his family and friends on these trips, and sharing what he loved with everyone he could. He got so much joy out of having parties and cooking for his family and friends. He loved manning the grill, mixing drinks by the firepit, and smoking a good cigar.
Perry is survived by his wife, Kimme, of East Wenatchee, Washington; two daughters, Emma (Mike) Doran, and Heather Greenwood; and one granddaughter, Hadlee Doran, all of Palmer, Alaska; stepsons, Chance and Wade Hawkins, of East Wenatchee, Washington; brother, Don (Anne) Greenwood, of Mosinee Wisconsin; sisters, Peggy (Gary) Anderson, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Sally McDonald, of Waconia, Minnesota, and Pam (Bill) Gallauer, of Surprise, Arizona.
