Wasilla resident Philip Lee Ohlinger, Jr., 34, died April 10, 2007 at Providence Alaska Medical Center, in Anchorage, Alaska. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2 p. m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 432 E. Fireweed, Palmer. Father Tom Brundage officiated. A reception followd at the home of his sister, Amy Dorsey. Philip was born December 20, 1972 in Auburn, Washington. He became an Alaska resident in 1973. He enjoyed Star Trek, Dukes of Hazzard, “fish-hunting”, and he shot a buffalo when his family took him to Spokane, WA last year.
His family wrote: “Captains Log: Stardate April 10, 2007 long-time friend of Captain James T. Kirk and Mrs. Spock passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April, 10 2007 at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 2:00pm with a reception following at the home of his sister, Amy Dorsey.”

He is survived by his parents, Philip Lee Ohlinger, Sr. & Patricia Ann Ohlinger; brother and sister-in-law, James & April Ohlinger; nephew, Timothy Ohlinger; sister and brother-in-law, Amy & Tim Dorsey.

Charles Todd Thompson
Charles Todd Thompson, (Charlie) died on April 9th, 2007 in Sitka, Alaska. He was born on Dec. 22, 1966, in Wenatchee, Washington. He lived in Sitka from February of 2007 until he passed away in April. Mr. Thompson was a Carpenter. A visitation will be held on April 19, 2007, at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Mr. Thompson attended high school in Eastmont High, in East Wenatchee, Washington in 1984. On July 23, 1985, he entered the Marine Corp. until Aug. 1, 1988. Some of the hobbies that he enjoyed were fishing, hunting, anything and everything to do with the Alaskan outdoors. His main interest was his family. His family stated, “Charles was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Not too many people out there could touch the hearts of so many. Anyone who met him was a future friend. His love of the Alaskan outdoors was surpassed by none.”
He is survived by his father, Stephen Goodwin of Wasilla; mother, Beatrice Goodwin of Wasilla; sister, Lisa Wooton and her husband, Mitch; nephew, Trevor Wooton; niece, Sky Wooton of Wenatchee, Washington; brother, Ron Goodwin and his wife, Mary of Wasilla; brother, Jon Goodwin and his wife, Melissa of Reno, Nevada; son, JT Thompson of Wasilla; and daughter, Alex Thompson.
Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.

Gremillion
Palmer resident Helen M. Gremillion, 76, died April 3, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, from complications of pneumonia. No local services are being planned. Her ashes will be interred at a cemetery in Florida.
Mrs. Gremillion was born April 29, 1930, in Bluff City, Tenn. She received her GED and had been employed as an assembler in the electronics manufacturing industry. She became an Alaska resident in September 2004. Her family stated: “Mom will be missed.”
Surviving are daughters, Helen Brownson of Palmer and Tonya Ostrom of Florida; sons Larry Netherland and John Netherland of Ohio, and Kenny Netherland of Tennessee; grandson, Charles Brownson of Seward; granddaughters, Meg Netherland, Lisa Netherland, Melissa Yontz, and Jennifer Netherland of Ohio, and Amanda Grant of Florida; great-grandsons, Liam Brownson of Seward, Adam Netherland, Sam Ruggles, and Seth Yontz of Ohio; great-granddaughters, Faith Netherland, Summer Yontz and Arianna Netherland of Ohio; and grand-daughter-in-law, Charlene Brownson of Seward.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Steve Brownson on July 6, 2002; great-grandson, Ciaran Brownson on October 19, 1997; and son-in-law, Richard Brownson on March 22, 1981. Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel.
Billy Clark
Palmer resident Billy K. Clark, 58, died April 4, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical
Center.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, April 21, 2:00 p.m., at the Windbreak Restaurant and Lounge in Wasilla. His ashes will be scattered at P.K. Lake in Texas.
Billy was born September 5, 1948, in Cisco, Texas. He was a graduate of Ranger High School and attended two years at Ranger Junior College in Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy until the early 1970s, returned home and was a lab technician for Dr. Gahlke for several years. Billy still played his music and had several clubs. He was a self-employed musician, singer, songwriter and played with various bands in the Mat-Su Valley. He had earned a musical scholarship to Ranger Junior College playing trumpet and percussion. He learned some of his talent from the best by doing shows with John Anderson, Cathy Twitty, Hank Jr., Willie and others. Back home in Texas, Billy is best remembered for the band “Sassafrass.” His hobbies and special interests were family, music and camping.
His family wrote: “We will always hear his voice and imagine him playing his guitar, and we will be proud to have had the time with him that we did. He will forever be with us in our hearts and in his music. The family would like to thank Dr. Brady and the Intensive Care Unit Nurses for their services and the tender care given to Billy; also a special thank you to Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel for their kind, caring and professional service.”
Billy is survived by his life partner, Carrie Williams of Palmer; son, Zach Clark of Wasilla; daughters, Kady and Kichele Clark of Palmer; sister, Paula Clark of Big Lake; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Clark in 1976, and his mother, Mary Clark in 1990. Arrangements were with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel.
