Ramona Mae Sloan

Valley resident, Ramona Mae Sloan, 77, died Dec. 25 at the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.

Private family services will be held.

Mrs. Sloan was born July 15, 1932 to Charles D. and Anna Mae (Hilbert) Ricks in Gunnison, Colo. She raised two children and was a beloved homemaker. Mrs. Sloan lived in Grand Junction, Colo., and retired as a hostess. She was Protestant and was a member of the Respect Your Elders group.

“Ramona loved everyone. She loved living at Tranquility and Harbor View Manors where she was fond of all the workers and residents that lived there with her,” the family wrote.

Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by her husbands, Loyal McCullough and Bill Sloan.

She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Linda and John Scafide of Palmer; son and daughter in-law, Tim and Janet McCullough of Palmer; grandchildren, Tina and Pal Konoa of Palmer, Marni and Nolan Estrada of Palmer, Monica and Robert Dallmann of Sun Valley, Nev., TJ and Jen McCullough of Palmer and Buffy and Ty Smith of Clifton, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Lacie Savo-Pruitt, Nathaniel Shell, Venisha Ling, Talon Gamble, Eric Hamann, Jesse and Valeri Dallman, Emily, Alex and Braden McCullough and Morgan and Bailey Smith.

Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
