Raymond E. Purcell, 65, passed away Sept. 9, 2007, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, after a short battle with cancer.
Purcell was born March 24, 1942, in Wenatchee, Wash, and spent almost 20 years in Alaska, the latter years in the Palmer area. He was employed by Hermon Brothers Construction of Palmer and Weaver Brothers of Anchorage.
He retired from the Teamsters in 1997 and moved to Washington. In 2004, he relocated to Canada.
He is survived by three children, eight grandchildren, a sister and his former wife, Bonnie McDonald.
