Raymundo “Joe” Guerrero
Raymundo “Joe” Guerrero was a caring father, husband, and friend who left this world suddenly on May 15, 2022, at the age of 68 at his home in Wasilla. Though he had been struggling for years with medical issues, he was always full of love and laughter and will be profoundly missed.
He was born in California to Raymundo and Bertha Guerrero on April 19, 1954. After serving in the US Navy, he moved to Alaska in 1973 where he met his wife of 44 years, Jennifer. Together, they had a child in 1994, Joshua Guerrero, whom he loved dearly.
Joe had an immense love of the ocean, playing music, and sharing stories of the wonderful friends he had made throughout his many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Guerrero; son, Josh Guerrero; brother, Vincent Guerrero; sister, Teresa Hunt; and mother, Bertha Guerrero. He was preceded in passing by his father and younger brother, Carlos, whom he can now be rejoined with, full of love and free of pain.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1201 Bogard Rd. Wasilla, Alaska, Saturday 5/28/2022 at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held afterward at the home of Joey’s family. For the friends and family who wish to join you can bring a dish to share.
