Really low fat Mayonaisse

Yoghurt, a real food sour cream substitute. I love mayonnaise, but know the evil side effects. I started using yoghurt as a substitute for sour cream and found it also illiminated heartburn or that icky acid reflux that I sometimes get with rich food. I started using yoghurt mixed with Real Mayonaisse for baked Halibut and it was a hit.

Line a strainer with a coffee filter, and place it in a bowl. Add non-fat yoghurt. Liquid will strain out leaving a creamy almost sour cream like substance(stir occasionally for 30-45 min to help move the liquid out). It tastes a bit tangier than sour cream. Mix that with mayonnaise for baked halibut dishes, mashed avocado for guacamole or serve alone on potatoes. I’m still working on beef or moose stroganoff and had some success but, it needs some sour cream to taste right.
