Renvek Larson

Renvek Larson, 5, passed away October 16, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. A service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 1375 E Bogard Rd, Wasilla, at noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, followed by a burial in Chickaloon. After the burial, the family will be holding a potlatch back at the church.

Renvek was born on March 6, 2010 to A. Megan Layne and Alan Larson (Jr.). He was an amazing little trouper throughout his many cancer treatments and always carried a happy personality, full of love for everyone. He enjoyed the outdoors and anything that involved water. He enjoyed the dragons of “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Bolt,” “Despicable Me,” “Minions” and other movies that allowed him to pass time during his many treatments. His active imagination and love for everyone captured the heart of everyone that had the chance to meet him. He loved to dance and sing, a passion that his mommy started at an early age.

He is survived on his mother’s side by his mother, A. Megan Layne; step-dad, Jerod Galle; grandma, Susan Layne; uncles Brad and Joey Fitchett; aunt, Allison Layne; and his favorite cousin, Chase Fitchett. He was preceded in death by grandpa Gerald Layne (Papa Jerry).

On his father’s side, he is survived by his dad, Alan Larson; Papa Alan Larson Sr.; Grandma Stella Larson; Uncle Kenneth Larson; Aunt Natalie Larson and her children Kendra Larson, James and McKinlee Hickel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Helen DePriest; great-grandfather, Jack Larson; great uncles, Ronald, Sonny and Ricky Larson; as well as Clan Grandmother Katie Wade.
