Rhonda Rae McConarty
Dearly loved Rhonda Rae McConarty, daughter of Vera and Folger (Fudge) Johnson, passed away of natural causes at the age 66 on October 1, 2022 at her home in Eagle River, Alaska. Rhonda was the epitome of a free spirit. She loved dancing, skiing, and hiking into the wilderness with complete abandon and total confidence in her ability to find her way through anything. Everyone around her felt her warmth, patience, and generous spirit. She was always ready to help whenever someone was in need to lend a hand or offer supportive words. She had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile making it impossible not to be happy around her; she embodied everything beautiful about being a human being. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her surviving son, Canyon Deary. Rhonda was also survived by: Vincent Johnson (brother), Christina Glatter (niece), Katie Johnson-Camacho (niece), Bill Christianson (nephew) and Randy Christianson (nephew). Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at the ACF church in Eagle River (16620 Brooks Loop, Eagle River, AK 99577) beginning at 5:00pm with a reception to follow at Garcia’s Cantina & Cafe (11901 Business Blvd #104, Eagle River AK 99577).
