Longtime Alaskan Resident Richard “Dick” Willson, 88, passed away peacefully at home July 16, 2014.
A celebration of life is planned July 26 at the Iditapark blue pavilion next to the castle playground on W. Nelson Ave, Wasilla, AK, 99629.
Dick was born on July 10, 1926, in Dallas, Oregon and moved to Alaska in 1956. Dick received his Master’s Degree in Education Administration and, after working many years in education, he retired from the Anchorage School District. Dick served his community by working tirelessly to assist people looking to recover from alcoholism. He also put a lot of time and effort in history search.
Dick was kind and generous, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and partner to his mate Patsy Larrimore.
Arrangements were cared for by Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
