Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Richard Kenneth Minnick, 82, of Dudley, Pennsylvania, died September 1, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on September 2, 1932 in Everett, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Robert and Daisy (Mack) Minnick. He was married to Mary P. (Angelo) Minnick. She preceded him in death. He is survived by the following family: children Brenda Albertson, Sharon Mills, Richard Minnick, Debra Zdrosky, Vicki Minnick, Lisa Minnick, Dudley and Kenneth Minnick, all of Pennsylvania; as well as eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Maria Minnick and the following siblings: Florence White, Vera Ehrhardt, Harry Minnick, Jack Minnick, Marie Angelo, Alberta Brown, Earl Minnick, Henry Minnick, Barbara Rickabaugh and Charles Minnick.
Visitation will be on September 3, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, Pennsylvania 16678.
Funeral Service on September 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Layminister Tom McGhee officiating.
Burial at Ave Maria Catholic Cemetery in Dudley, Pennsylvania.
