Rob Holt, 56, passed away unexpectedly at home in Talkeetna on Feb. 18, 2015.
Rob was born on Aug. 29, 1958, to Jerry and Norma Holt.
A master guide, artist and Bush pilot, Rob grew up in Kodiak and settled as an adult in Talkeetna.
Rob was loving and dedicated to his family. He spent much time with his son, Elias, and taught him to appreciate, respect and enjoy the outdoors, provided moral guidance, and helped shape him into the confident and adventurous young man he is today.
Rob loved the Talkeetna community where he made his home. He will be greatly missed.
A potluck to celebrate Rob’s life is at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 22 at the Northern Susitna Institute, 13778 Third Street, Talkeetna.
Memorial donations in honor of Rob are welcome at the “Robert Holt Memorial Fund”, Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union Account 148665.
Rob is survived by his son, Elias; his parents, Jerry and Norma Holt; his sister-in-law, Darcy Holt; and nieces, Ellen, Hayley and Samantha.
His beloved brother, Charlie, preceded Rob in death.
