Robert Arian Smith, 73, passed away in his home in Sutton, AK, on May 29, 2022.
Robert was born to parents Milton L. Burdick and Betty L. Burdick nee Finney in Los Angeles, CA, on August 11, 1948.
Robert met Jane A. Smith at her brother’s home through God. They wed August 11, 1973, in Portland, OR. In 1974, they moved around Interior Alaska before settling in Chickaloon. Robert worked as a teacher, salesman, and as a welder.
He took much joy in listening to Dr. J. Vernon McGee on Through The Bible, and Alexander Scourby read the KJV of The Bible. Bob will be remembered for many things among which was teaching guitar and cooking.
He was preceded by his parents and sister.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jane Smith; daughters, Pam Lanham and Tammy Edker; sons, Frank Smith and John Smith; along with daughters and sons-in-law; eighteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Janssen’s Mat-Su Funeral Home 6901 E. Lupine Road, Wasilla, AK 99654, 12-1:30pm, on June 18, 2022. Service will follow.
Burial will be after service at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery: Block 1, Lot 11, G2.
