Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Robert G. Chapman, 27, died Nov. 17, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service was held Nov. 24 at Palmer Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Micky Boyer officiated. Chapman’s ashes will be scattered in the Hatcher Pass area.
Chapman was born Oct. 20, 1980, in Anchorage and lived his lifetime in Alaska. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, snowboarding and snowmachining. He was always full of mischief, had a huge heart, would help anyone and had a special laugh and twinkle in his eyes.
Chapman was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Harry Chapman.
Survivors include his son, Tylan Hunter Chapman; father, Scott Chapman; mother, Cheryl Chapman; brother, Charles (Danielle) Chapman; grandparents, Vito and Joyce Papasodora, and Arlene Chapman, all of Wasilla; girlfriend and mother of his son, Tia Petito and her son, Cyruss Lovell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
