Robert Clark, better known as Bob, was born in Middletown, Connecticut on March 26, 1947, to parents Eugene and Elizabeth Clark. Bob passed away on June 18, 2015, at the age of 68, after a long bout with cancer.

He served 22 ½ years in the United States Air Force, obtaining the rank of SMsgt before retiring in 1989. Bob served two tours in Alaska, totaling 11 years, and settled In Alaska upon retirement. He was a Vietnam-era veteran serving a tour of duty in Thailand. Bob was an airplane and powerplant mechanic and an avid pilot from the age of 18, securing the rating of Commercial Pilot both single engine and multi-engine, land and sea. He loved the great Alaskan outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying anywhere in Alaska when he could.

Bob is survived by his wife, Pamla, of 46 years; daughter, Samantha Clark Robertson of Wasilla, son, Ryan Clark of Wasilla; five grandchildren, Lacey Hernandez, USCG, in San Francisco, California, Esteban Hernandez in New Hampshire, Hunter Robertson in Anchorage, Hanna Clark in Wasilla, Sara Clark in Wasilla; sisters, Diane Gevry, Joan Domin and brother, Ron Clark from Connecticut.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m., July 18, at Fairview Loop Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Legacy Wasilla Heritage Chapel.
