Robert “Bobby” Ronholdt
Soldotna resident Robert G. Bobby Ronholdt, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his home. He passed away just before his 66th birthday.
A celebration of his life was held late afternoon, June 16, at his home. A memorial mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna. Father Patrick Brosamer will officiate.
Bobby was born and raised in Anchorage, attending Chugach Central and West High Schools. He was a very generous person and an excellent cook. This was evident when the big wigs would come to the platforms and eat at his table. He spent over 20 years cooking on the platforms in the Inlet, along with working on the North Slope. Bobby loved to cook for friends and family hosting either a barbecue or dinner seating. He also loved to keep a clean house and well-kept yard, along with collecting artifacts.
He will be missed by all. R.I.P.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Angela Ronholdt, older sisters, Roylene McElroy and Shirley Otto, and brother Roy Sonny Ronholdt, Jr.
He is survived by his older brother, John Jack Ronholdt.
Arrangements by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
