Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Robert G. Chapman, 27, died Nov. 27, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Church of the Nazarene, 1951 N. Hemmer Road in Palmer. The Rev. Micky Boyer will officiate. Chapman’s ashes will be scattered in the Hatcher Pass area.
Chapman was born Oct. 20, 1980, in Anchorage and lived his lifetime in Alaska. His interests were fishing, woodworking, snowboarding and snowmachining.
He was always full of mischief, had a huge heart, would help anyone and had a special laugh and twinkle in his eyes.
Chapman was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Harry Chapman.
Survivors are his son, Tylan Hunter Chapman; father, Scott Chapman; mother, Cheryl Chapman; brother, Charles Chapman; sisters-in-law, Danielle Chapman, Tia Petito and Cyruss Lovell; grandparents, Vito and Joyce Papasodora, and Arlene Chapman, all of Wasilla; and numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
