Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Robert Lebron Chancey, 53, died July 27, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with his father by his side.
He was born Sept. 16, 1958, in Coco Beach, Fla., at Patrick Air Force Base Hospital to Robert and Dorothy Mae (Wells) Chancey.
The family is planning no services at this time.
Robert moved to Alaska with his family in 1998 and worked as a master mechanic for several automotive dealerships, which included Volkswagen, Chrysler and Chevy. He loved to collect guns and fish, which he spent hours doing.
Robert’s father said he was a great son, decent human being and a great all-around guy who treated everyone with respect. He will be greatly missed by his father, family and friends he made along his life’s journey.
Surviving are father, Robert Chancey of Wasilla; uncle, Eddie Wells of North Carolina; and extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Dorothy Mae, in 1996.
Arrangements were entrusted to Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Wasilla.
