Surrounded in the warmth and love of family, Our Heavenly Father called his beloved son, Robin Lewis McCarty home on March 25. Robin, 49, was born in Seattle on July 21, 1959, the eldest child of Pearl L. Teter McCarty and raised by Pearl and Russell McCarty in Washington. Robin moved to Alaska in 1976 where he met and married his best friend Lorill Ann Edwards.
Robin possessed many gifts that he freely shared with those he knew. He would always help a friend in need, be a shoulder to cry on, lend an ear to listen, fix anything he could for you and always, always make you laugh. Robin had a remarkable appetite for fun. Being in the company of family and friends and doing anything outside was the ultimate joy to Robin. He enjoyed sharing time fishing, camping, four wheeling, motorcycling, hiking, with all those he loved. His heart truly belonged to his family and friends in the beautiful state of Alaska. Throughout his life he expressed deep love and adoration for his grandsons. We feel Robin will continue to guide and watch over them from the other side.
He is survived by his loving and devoted family, wife Lorill Ann McCarty, son Robin Adair McCarty, daughter Clarisa Rose Hochmuth and son-in-law Glenn C. Hochmuth, grandsons Elijah Roy Hochmuth and Issac Glenn Hochmuth whom he deeply treasured. As well as his mother Pearl L. Teter McCarty, siblings and their spouses; Pamela Ray and Melinda Norton, Randall Dean and Robyn Christman-McCarty, Kevin Roy and Tina McCarty, Kathi Lea and Rod Mael, Kay-Lynn and Shane Fausett. Mother-in-law Lois G. Edwards, brother-in-law Daniel Lee Edwards. Robin’s nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins will all miss big Rob.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lewis Edger Teter, grandmothers Evelyn Bethal Derr and Helen Leona Teter, father Russell Roy McCarty, father-in-law Ernest Adair (Sonny) Edwards and beloved cousin Mark JJ Matuszewski.
