Ronald Caswell

Passed away on June 12, 2019 after a year of coping with brain cancer.

He was born in Binghamton, New York on January 10, 1954 as the only child of William and Dawn Caswell. Ron first came to Alaska when he served in the Coast Guard at Loran Station Attu in Alaska for 13 months. He returned many times to visit his parents. From July 2017 to April 2018, Ron and his wife Judy lived in Wasilla with his mother Dawn. During his time in Wasilla Ron volunteered for many organizations including the Special Santa Program and the Wasilla Garden Club. He enjoyed speaking to individuals and groups throughout Alaska about his passion and 20 years experience building the International Space Station, what he called the world’s largest ever international peace time project.

Ron is survived by his wife Judith “Judy” Krohn and his mother Dawn.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill in 2017.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 4:00 to 6:30 at the Wasilla American Legion Post 35, 5050 Tweed Circle, Wasilla. There will be a 21 Gun Salute at 4:30 pm and a reception following.
