Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Ronald James Cook, 63, died Oct. 31, 2012, at his home in Palmer.
A celebration of life is at 4 p.m., Nov. 6 at Manna Baptist church in Palmer. Pastor Steve Cardin will officiate. An additional celebration of life will be held in Spokane, Wash.
Ronald was born March 24, 1949, in Spokane, Wash., to Edgar and Mary Cook. Ronald moved to Palmer in 1983. He was owner and builder for his own company, All-Purpose Building Inc. He was a member at Manna Baptist Church of Palmer, enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska and spending quality time with all of his kids and grandkids.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen of Palmer; daughters, Ronda Coumont of Hutto, Texas, Renee Larson of Palmer, Melanie Cook of Palmer, and Malinda Needham and son-in-law, David of Palmer; step-sons, Bradley Smith of Denver, Colo., and Scott Smith of Glasgo, Mont.; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Cook of Camarilla, Calif., Mick Cook of St. George, Utah, and Dallas Cook of Plummer, Idaho; and, sisters, Donna Sundberg of Spokane Valley, Wash., and Sherry Kime of Albuquerque, N.M.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edgar and Mary Cook of North Fork, Idaho.
Memorial donations may be given to the Heart Association.
