A gathering of friends and family for Wasilla resident Ronald “Ronnie” Charles Cucinello, 63, will be held at a date yet to be determined in summer 2011. A service announcement will be published prior to that time.
Ronnie died Dec. 17, 2010, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center of internal bleeding in the brain. He was born July 18, 1947, in Gretna, La., and came to Alaska in June 2005. He was a truck driver all his life.
Ronnie loved watching old movies, bird watching, camping in his RV and teasing his grandson, Jacob.
“Ronnie enjoyed the summers out by the fire pit and feeding the birds and passing time with his two mini dachshunds, Masie and Sadie,” his family wrote. “He loved to see his grandson ride his four-wheeler and shoot his BB gun. He loved summer RV trips to Seward to sit on the beach.”
He is survived by his wife of more than 42 years, Pattie B. Cucinello of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, Wallace J. Cucinello and Melody K. Smith of Wasilla; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nicholas and Kathy Cucinello of Harvey, La., and William and Barbara Cucinello of Wasilla; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Anthony Christano of Westwego, La., and grandson, Jacob R. Cucinello of Palmer.
Flowers and acknowledgements may be delivered to the family home.
