Ronald Shaw, 82, passed away Feb. 27, 2015, in Anchorage.
He was born on March 9, 1932, in Wasilla to an Alaska pioneer family and was a lifetime Alaskan. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, the Purple Heart Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Pioneers of Alaska.
He worked for Mobile Oil Company and Union Oil Company of California. He went to Cordova in 1974 where he had a fishing operation until retirement in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Donnita Shaw.
Graveside services are at 2:30 p.m., March 5, at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Please line up at the main Fort Richardson gate at 2 p.m. for procession.
