Longtime Alaskan Rosaline Lin Choy Moffett, 86, passed away Oct. 28, 2014, at Heritage Place in Soldotna.

Memorial services are from 3 to 4 p.m., Nov. 22 at Lazy Mountain Bible Church in Palmer. She will be inurned with her husband at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Rosaline was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended college at the University of Hawaii. She worked with her husband from 1945 to 1971 and was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant from 1974 to 1990, both in Honolulu. She retired in 1990.

Rosaline moved to Palmer in 1994. She moved to Sunrise Mountain Assisted Living in 2010 and into Heritage Place in 2011.

She was a member of the Lazy Mountain Bible Church in Palmer and Hope Chapel in Anchorage.

Rosaline enjoyed Bible study, singing and hula dancing.

“Mom enjoyed sharing her faith with everyone,” her family wrote. “She loved singing with her beautiful voice. She would sing acapella at church, in weddings and for funerals. She especially loved singing the Lord’s Prayer in Hawaiian.”

“Mom had a kind and giving heart. No matter what her finances were like, she would always find a way to help those in need,” her family wrote.

Rosaline was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. Moffett; brothers Eugene, Reynold and Sharlon Quon; sister Lucille Davis and grandson, Kawika Moffett.

Surviving are her sons, Stephen Moffett of Soldotna, and David Moffett of Palmer; granddaughter, Leilani Quesnet; great-granddaughters, Chloe Moffett and Mya Moffett of Kenai; and sisters, Helen London of Henderson, Nevada and Edna Hicks of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
