Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

RoseMary Taylor, 67, passed away Dec. 20, 2015, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. RoseMary was born March 13, 1948, to John and Josephine Pugliese, in Brooklyn, N.Y. In 1978, RoseMary moved to Wasilla, Alaska. From 1978 to 2008, RoseMary had worked as a security assistant for the Department of Logistics for the fifth signal at Fort Richardson. For many years she had volunteered her time at the Fur Rendezvous selling buttons, pins, belt buckles and Fur Rondy coins. RoseMary had also volunteered for years at the Elks Club.
A Celebration of Life for RoseMary will be held Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Palmer Elks Lodge on Finger Lake.
RoseMary was preceded in death by her significant other of 28 years, Ben Botkin; and her mother and father, Josephine and John Pugliese.
RoseMary is survived by her sister, Matilda Carbone; daughter, Elinor Harding; grandchildren, Tavis Harding and Josephine Harding; and one great-grandson, Jaydenzen.
