Rye Edward Humphreys was born February 27, 1993 and passed away on August 28, 2016. Born in Palmer, Alaska, Rye grew up and spent his life in the Valley. He graduated from Houston High in 2011. He married Paige Hardy on May 28, 2016. He was employed by Halliburton on the North Slope. Rye enjoyed hockey, hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends, family and especially little brother Reed and wife Paige. Rye is survived by his wife, Paige Hardy; parents, Chad and Lisa Humphreys; brother, Reed Humphreys; maternal grandparents, Doug and Florene Carney; paternal grandparents, Tom and Wilma Humphreys; Adam, Shannon, and Chance Humphreys; Michelle and Jeff Overstreet and Elli; Chris and Kim Carney, Sean, Devin and Raeley .Memorial service will be held at the Big Lake Rec Center in Big Lake, Alaska, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to MyHouse,, 300 N.
