Samantha Nicjoela Jackson, 26, passed away on the morning of Oct. 1, 2014.
She was born March 24, 1988, in Palmer, to Michael and Francesca Russell.
She is survived by her husband, Evan Jackson; her son, Banyan Troy Jackson; step-son, Rowan Jackson Dau; her parents, Michael and Francesca Russell; her sisters, Michelle Malerich and Jessica Russell; her brother, Edward Russell; and her beloved dog, Coda Bear.
Samantha was a licensed massage therapist, a certified personal care attendant, and avid volunteer at animal shelters. First and foremost though, she was a loving mother and wife who could make any space feel like home.
She was an avid reader and writer and was rarely found without pen and paper in hand. Animals were a passion and she wanted to rescue each and every one she saw. She loved camping and nature and dreamed of traveling the world and visiting her family’s homeland of Italy.
Services are at 2 p.m., Oct. 11, at St. Michael’s Parish, 432 E Fireweed Ave., in Palmer with a potluck reception to follow at the Eagle Hotel, 918 S Colony Way.
Her family writes, “Goodbye Sammy girl. We love you with all of our hearts.”
