August 15, 1942 - March 6, 2025

Sandra Jean Polsky (Sandy) born August 15, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, and passed away March 6th, 2025 in Palmer, Alaska due to complications from surgery.

Sandy and her husband of 42 years, Warren Polsky, lived in Anchorage and Seldovia for 38 years before relocating to Palmer in 2022. Sandy enjoyed many civic and volunteer organizations including her church, St. Patrick's Parish in Anchorage, and St. Michael's Catholic Church in Palmer. Sandy enjoyed cruises with her husband and time with friends and family. Sandy touched many lives with great love and enthusiasm for life and simply insisted we face all challenges with positivity and hope. She would insist that we embrace life and each other in her honor and memory. Sandy's favorite color was purple. She enjoyed flamboyant hats, and she loved butterflies. Sandy would encourage us not to mourn, but to wear purple and a flamboyant hat in her memory. She would also encourage us to see where we could bring peace, love, and a giving heart to each person and situation.

Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy McKenna. Sandy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Warren Polsky of Palmer, Alaska; her son, Frederic Wagner of Wasilla, Alaska; her 4 step-children, Roberta Hartley, Shelley Plummer, Russell Polsky, and Frederick Polsky; and her dog Rosie. Sandy is also survived by their 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration Mass held for Sandy at St. Patrick's Parish at 2111 Muldoon Road, Anchorage, Alaska on March 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy would request that you pick any community charity and donate in her memory.
