Scott L. Johnson

A memorial service for Scott L. Johnson, 22, will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at the Palmer Depot. A potluck will follow.

Scott passed away May 15. He was born Feb. 28, 1987 in Puyallup, Wash. He lived in Seattle, Nome, the Anchorage Bowl area and finally settled in Wasilla. His life was short but he made the most of it. Over the years he has grown from a boy to an extraordinary young man who loved to ride and work on dirt bikes with his dad.

He had a big heart and was always trying to cheer you up if you were sad, mad or upset at anything. He at least tried to get you to just smile if he could. He loved to hunt and fish and had a pride for his heritage and culture.

He called Matt Christenson, Jerod Fitzgibbon, Mike Leffingwell and Josh Marsh his brothers and their families considered Scott a part of their family as well. He touched the lives of so many people and he considered them all his friends. Jerome Aukon was his father figure early in his life and Scott always had a place for him in his heart.

He is survived by his mother and father, Marianne and Frank Williams; his older brothers, Troy Johnson and Charlie Williams; his sisters, Chris Aukon and Chanel Williams; and the countless number of lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Wallace L. and Rose T. Johnson; aunt, Lynnette Martinez; cousin, Christina McNees; and his maternal grandpa and grandma, Charlie and Ruby Williams.
