Scott Lee Isaacs

Long time Alaska resident, 49, passed away November 13, 2019.

Scott was born October 8, 1970 in Grants Pass, Oregon, to Darwin & Judith Isaacs. Scott went to school in Grants Pass, which is where he first met his wife Joni Isaacs, in middle school. It wasn’t until years later when they reconnected that he knew she was the love of his life and he made sure everyone knew that. Scott moved to Alaska in 1999, where he worked as a logger for several years, he then later founded the chapter Keep Alaska Beautiful South East. When he moved to Wasilla, he worked on achieving his Associates Degree in Computer Science focusing on Business Management, accomplishing that he then went on to become a Realtor. He loved helping people find their perfect Alaskan dream home. He loved the ocean, hunting, fishing, snow machining and of course off roading in his jeep. The further in the backcountry he could get, the better. He loved Alaska. “Scott was an untamed soul. He lived his life the way he wanted and didn’t care what others thought. He had a brash nature; most people’s first impression was what a rude arrogant ass. Those who took the time to get to know him knew he was a kind and generous man and if or when you needed him, he was there. You would never see a more gruffier man turn to mush than when he was with his grandbabies. They love their papa. He will forever be loved and missed.”

Scott is survived by his wife, Joni Isaacs; his sons Wesley Wilber, Nicholas Isaacs & Andrew Isaacs; his stepsons and daughter in law Matthew Henson, Jacob Henson, and Anthony & Misty Henson; his grandchildren Foxx Lee, Lyric Rose, Phoenix Faith, Anastasia Katherine, Garret Ray and Elizabeth Joy Lee; his father and stepmother Darwin & Sue Isaacs; his sisters Julie Dunbar, Cynthia Wilson and Vicki Alejandro; and his brothers Mark & Bryan Reynolds.

A service will be held November 20, 2019 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S Check St. Wasilla at 4:00pm.
