Seth Bellamy

Seth Bellamy, 5 years old, passed away Oct. 6, 2015, in Portland, Oregon, after losing a 3-year battle to acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Seth showed insurmountable courage and strength throughout but could not fight off acute Graft vs Host Disease, the final stage that took his life. While the goal ultimately will be to bring awareness to childhood cancer and GVHD, the intention of the words laid out before you is to give you all a glimpse of Seth William Bellamy.

Seth was born In Wasilla, Alaska. Wasilla was his home. He loved the outdoors, especially the snow. He was a vibrant, courageous, compassionate and silly little boy who loved his sisters and his dog, Carl. To those of you who had the opportunity to spend even one moment with Seth, he brought warmth and laughter into your life. He was a ray of sunshine, pure and innocent. His baby blues invited you in, and his smile was inspiring.

Seth is proceeded in death by his Grandma Josie Teubner and Great Grandpa William Fuger.

He is survived by his mother and father, Maggie and Jonah Bellamy; sisters, Jasmine and Marlee; grandparents, Lisa Haws and Bart Beck, Paul Bellamy, James and Holly Fuger, and John Teubner; Aunt Amber and Uncle Jonathon Costos; Uncle Isaac and Aunt Charity Bellamy, and Uncle Seth Bellamy. Along with many very important great-aunts and uncles on both sides of his family.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at 3 p.m., at Valley Funeral Home for family and close friends. A big Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Eagle Hotel, 918 S. Colony Way in Palmer, Alaska.

Seth touched the lives of thousands of people across the nation. He was taken from us too soon. He is free from pain and rests with angels. We love you to the moon and back, Seth. Thank you for all the joy you brought into our lives.
